This Hoover Junior is a family heir-loom. It was bought as a reconditioned unit, by mum and dad, in the mid 1970's, and I have been loathed to get rid of it. We've had other hoovers between then and now. A Vax that I use to do the cars with, and lives in one of the sheds, a Dyson - blew up after 18 months, a modern Hoover that has a broken cover, without it, it hoovers nothing, and a dinky little Hoover Sensory, still goes strong. But the Junior has always been on stand-by, in case (and it has) been needed. Time to give it a little care and attention. So, it deserved a good clean, as until recently, it had lived in the loft for a few years, and a bit of Megs three stage treatment to bring the paint work up, all plastics removed and throughly cleaned, and a new outerbag - yes, they are still available! Belt is now fine, and I do have spares, the brushes and agitator in good condition, and the motor is now as clean as a whistle. Now kept handily downstairs. It is a bit heavy to use, but cleans the carpets extremely well! It even shines!
