hello, I'm Martin, I'm new to the forum and I am just about to become the proud owner of a 1987 Danbury Rascal. I wonder if any of the old hands could give me some help. My rascal has awning rails installed on both sides- can anyone recommend an awning that fits the danbury rascal pretty well? Secondly, do any of you know if Danbury always installed leisure batteries on their conversions? If they did, where did they tuck away the leisure battery. Thanking you in advance. Martin

Hello Martin, The Danbury didn't usually have a leisure battery as there is usually only 1 or 2 interior lights and the water pump that are 12 volt, so you can get by on one battery. I would think that if a 2nd battery was fitted it would be in one of the 2 rear boxes, accessible from the rear/tailgate. The Awning can be any drive-away type awning that is the right size, but i would advise getting one that allows the side door to be opened/closed whilst the awning is attached, I have come across a few that don't allow this. I will see if I can find the website I last used and post it on here for you. We have rebuilt around 6 of these ( inc ones on our website- www.bedfordrascal.com ) so if you need anymore help just ask. Regards Tim. 01249 721350
