So, the day has come, and I feel great! Looking forward to leaving, today, after first starting in 1981 with Royal Mail
16 years this time, after a small break in service, to do my studying at Uni, and become a carer to the folks at home. No more inside information from me, I'm afraid!
It's the right time to go, for many reasons, some of which, you will all surmise, no doubt, a big step, and a no brainer. I feel sorry and concerned for the future of those who remain. If the business was the same one that I joined, all those years ago, I would be feel different, but it is not. I will miss the many friends, almost extended family, I have there, but we'll stay in contact through the social network sites, and more, which, no doubt, will be time consuming. I have been chuffed by the genuine thanks by management and senior mangement for the changes for the good that I have worked hard to achieve, as regards H&S, and my common sense approach.
Now, I need to find another job, and update the CV. I have a couple of irons in the fire, but offers and leads invited, Part or Full Time, Bristol area.
