One of my farmer customers has a w reg landrover, fitted with bullbar, for the right reasons. During the snow his son got too close to another motorist and said bullbar was damaged. Insurance co say, can't cover the bullbar or pay for it !! as it is illegal to make the bullbars now, £25,000 fine or even prison if you make one. Anyone any comments on whether their insurance covers them ? Anyone know if you can have one repaired without getting into trouble ?? Said Farmer not happy paying insurance only to be told that parts of his vehicle aren't covered !! Regards Tim

I have raised this on the UKSaabs forum, which I frequent too much, but is a mind of information.

Reading between the lines, it appears that, as has been suggested, it is the age of the bullbar that is the crux.
